Buck Jones, the Rogers Ferry and Chief Van.

This is Anna's great great grandfather William Cinatra "Buck" Jones (1850-1930) and mule on the Rogers' Ferry Crossing the Chattahoochee River about where McFarland Road is today.  I just recently read the Roger family who operated the ferry were Native Americans.  I also read that one of the  Chief Vans, I do not know if it was the father or son, was found on the Rogers' property with his head bashed in.  Of course the Chief Vanns were  also Native Americans.   Tribal Feud?
