1955 OLYMPIAN - The TAC

Before I was a teenager I thought the TAC (Teenage Canteen) was the place to be – other than Atherton Drug Store. All typical teenagers, the clique “in” age, you were either at the TAC or sipping on a Coke at Atherton’s.

I think we read too many ARCHIE Comicbooks.

REMEMBER THE MAN AND WIFE TEAM THAT RAN THE TAC? STERLING COMBS AND LARRY GARRETT HAD A KEY TO THE DOOR, AND WENT UP ON SUNDAYS TO SHOOT POOL.

  2. I'm surprised the fireman didn't hear them. The TAC was right above Marietta Fire Station #1.

  3. Wonder where Susan Copeland is these days. What a beauty.

  4. I worked with a guy named Bo Copeland, who bought my aunt's house on Cascade Drive, across from Monty Calhoun.
I wonder if and Susan are related?
