My great grandfather & mother, parents of my grandmother Minnie
Victoria Tyson Hunter.
Obediah Hargraves Tyson 1852-1919). Born and died in
Cherokee County, Ga, Robert was the 4th of 8 children of Robert Cabel
Tyson and Sarah C. Moody He was a farmer. He and his family lived in the area of where
Bells Ferry Road and Hwy 92 cross. He
married Nancy Elizabeth Huey (1854-1938), on 18 Jan 1877, in Cherokee County, Georgia. She is the daughter of daughter of John T. Huey (1826-1891) and
Drucilla Wilson (1825-1905).
Where did his middle names Hargraves come from? Well, of course from his grandfather Eugene
Hargraves Tyson. But, still, where did h
names Hargraves turn from, a relative maybe?
I don’t think so. Ther only Hargraves
I found was in the Militia with his great grandfather Job Tyson. Keep in mind that Eugene Hargraves Tyson’s
was changed, it was Job Tyson’s father, but when his sister Winston Tyson
adopted him she changed his name to Eugene Hargraves Tyson. Why would she name him after her father’s
co-militia man member
