Marie's Postcard Collection. This is the Incline going up the side of Lookout Mountain overlooking Chattanooga. It is very steep, like a cliff is steep. The price for a ticket is reasonable. You might think "How nice! Affordable! for tourists!"
I don't think it was meant for the tourists so much as meant for "The Help" who can't afford to live in the expensive homes on the mountain. The rich who live there need people to wait on them. I think the Chattanooga city fathers, catering to the rich, made a vertical trolley.
