Catholic Church in Asheville
This is the Catholic Church in downtown Asheville, North Carolina. On the inside are beautiful statues of Jesus and Mary and other Catholic things presented in an artful way. The name of it is Basilical of Saint Lawrence. Which reminds me, do you know of the Saint Basil Church of Moscow? Sure you do! It is the colorful building with all the onion domes. It was built it in the 16th Century and when it was completed it was overwhelming beautiful . Ivan the Terrible, who commissioned it to be done was very pleased. He asked the builder/contractor could he build another one like it. Certainly, he told Ivan the Terrible. Ivan the Terrible had him blinded so there would be no other cathedral like it. wasn't that terrible of Ivan?
