What you do not see: The original Wonder Woman character was created by college professor William Moulton Marston (1893-1947) Comic-book publisher Max Gaines agreed to give him a chance. It paid off.
Max Gaines died in a boating accident in north state New York. The comicbook company was left to his son William Gaines, who didn't want it and decided to dismount it. But he had a change of heart and took an interest in creating comicbooks and stories. One of the people he hired, Harvey Kurtzman created (mostly) MAD Comicbook. Issue #10 lampooned WONDER WOMAN.
Talk about coming a full circle!.
