Ward Harkavy, R.I.P.

Ward Harkavy died May 17, 2020 of COVID-19.  Ward’s name may not be a household name but his work is.  He was editor of THE VILLAGE VOICE periodical.  Honestly, I did not notice his name until today.  I used to reread the VV faithfully, but the names that drew me was the Nat Hentoff’s reviews and essays and reviews and the Jules Feiffer cartoons.  But I read and enjoyed it all, which would include Ward Harkavy.
