My wife Anna belongs to the Blackwell Homemakers Club. It is a group of about two dozen women who
meet monthly. They have speakers on various subjects and they sometimes meet in
restaurants.
I think it was formed many years ago with the help of the
county agent. Anna’s mother was a
regular member when she was alive.
Any well-organized club has official offices like president,
vice president, treasurer, and historian.
The newly elected or appointed historian thought she would justify her title
and learn something of the history of Blackwell Homemakers Club and pass it on
to the members.
The meeting yesterday the historian reported her findings. She said she Googled Blackwell Homemakers
Club and came up with an article about the club in a daily (most the time) blog
named “Chicken-fat.
That’s me!
I am the editor, publisher, coffee maker, and break
announcer of the blog Chicken-fat.
