We went to the Marietta Market on their opening day last
Thursday. What was in my face most the
time while there “you cannot hardly move it is so crowded!”
We ate at the hamburger place. It only took minutes in line but after we
order we had to wait 48 minutes. Well, at least you can't call it "fast food"
I overheard the manager of the hamburger place say they were hit with 98 orders at the same time. After they got everybody served they said they were going to shut the order taking down for one hour so they could regroup.

The big building allows plenty of space for an
opened bay food court and around the sides are the restaurants with no dining
overhead, like tables, bus boys and son on. I think it is good concept but some
problems will arise that will need to be corrected, but we and they won’t know
until the problems pops up. I think the
crowd will settle down after the first visit.
We also had ice cream at the 4 COW creamery which the
servers are very generous with their free samples.
And the delicious bakery and coffee shop: delicious.
The coffee was reasonable, and the baked goods were good.
There are more restaurants coming such as Grand Champions
BBQ: a New Orleans eatery; and more.
We watched the movie about Douglas Kenney, the founder of
the magazine NATIONAL LAMPOON and writer of the movie ANIMAL HOUSE. Three
or four times in the movie they had a FOOD FIGHT, as they had in ANIMAL HOUSE,
even at a funeral visitation. It seems
that any time there were a lot of people and food being served Douglas Kenney hollered
FOOD FIGHT and food was thrown in every one’s faces. It relieved tensions. With the crowd of people at Marietta Market,
I wonder if hollering FOOD FIGHT! would be appropriate?
