Available Jones Is Available

We went to a CPA that specializes in inheritances.  We needed professional information on the dos and don’ts and crossing t’s and dotting I’s.  The CPA wanted to hear all the details.  From it all he passed on to us some knowledge and advice on what tax forms, etc.  He is a professional and charged us for his time.

Although as wise and full of knowledge as he is, he reminded me of a character in LI’L ABNER, “Available Jones,”

If I remember correctly, Available Jones gave advice and charged by the word.  I remember in one panel he was calculating the bill and we can read his thought balloon:  “When I said, “How are you today?” should I count "today" as one word or two words?”
