Philosophy From the Bench

From a UNCLE JOHN'S BATHROOM READER:

During Soccer's '06 World's Cup, Germany's heart-attack rate tripled on the Days the Germany team played.

Really?  I cannot understand that.  But, knowing how people get so worked up over the World Series and the Super Bowl, it is believable.

The "Why?" I just can't understand.

Back when I was on a baseball team I took it to heart when I overheard an adult say, "It's just a game."

But I sat on the bench all my two year Little League career.
