At the
swimming hole this morning the lifeguard asked me were we going out to eat
tonight or see a movie, then added that there is "nothing good on TV
night." and topped it with a
knowing laugh.
We both
laughed. I didn't want to show I had no
idea what he was talking about.
Later, out
of his ear range, I asked Anna what he was joking about. She said tonight is the vice-presidential
candidates' debate.
Oh.
I get
it! It will be so boring and
uninteresting that you will want to dine out or watch a good movie.
Shouldn't I
get some kind of credit here? Not
caring enough to not even knowing when it was scheduled should be worth
something! Right?
