At the Woodstock Bluegrass Jamboree monthly show at the
Woodstock Community Church on Saturday
night The Jot'Em Down Boys Band was host to the Tucker Station String
Band. The Tucker Station String
Band home base is Tucker, Georgia.
Interesting they play
on Sunday Nights at Greater Good Barbecue Restaurant in Tucker. Also on Sunday nights there is a bluegrass
jam session. Bring your banjo or waxed
paper and comb. You need to call the
restaurant for their bluegrass details.
Jot'Em Down Boys Band is named after the road the band's founder Cliff Twyman
lives on. Jot'Em Down is also the name
of the country store Lum and Abner operated on their radio show many years ago.
Saturday night was the last night for Danny Bermel, the
fiddle player, for the Jot'Em Down Boys.
When he played a fiddle it became a violin. He is going back to college to study for his doctorate's
degree. He will be missed and I know we
will hear of him again.
Danny Bermel and his family.
