The video:
Last night we went to a Wet Willie concert in Woodstock. We were early (what else is new?). We got a good parking place. Then the whole area filled up quickly.
Wet Willie plays a sax and sings blues, very well. At maybe 40 or 50 feet away he looked a lot like Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones. He had bushy hair, hyper on stage, wore a Stetson-like hat, and old as the hills, just like Mick.
I say he is old as the hills because things he said he said he did was years ago. For example in 1969 he and his band went to Macon, Georgia, to see the Allman Brothers. 1969 was 42 years ago.
Wet Willie’s home is Mobile, which probably explains his accent. That is nice to hear, I remember when the people of this area had the southern accent.
We enjoyed watching the people around us almost as much as the concert.
CHECK OUT A SONG CALLED "FADED LOVE" BY WET WILLIE. THE GUITARIST THEN WAS A DUDE NAMED FRANK FRIEDMAN. HE IS NOW KIND OF A STAND IN FOR THE BAND, BUT HE'S ALSO A PRACTICING DOC.GOOD BAND.
