This is Chicken-Fat's 3780th post.
I am out of ideas. It may only be temporarily but at the moment I can't think of a thing I could say that I haven't already said or implied.
I will continue recycling the Olympian Marietta High School Year books until I run out, if I don't change my mind.
I enjoyed the ride.
I have enjoyed your weblog for several years now, and its quite understandable that writer's block has struck. You have done an excellent job of documenting Marietta's past history while still keeping us up to date about your current experiences. Thank You!
ReplyDeleteI have lived in ATL since 1998 and reside in Kennesaw, near Bells Ferry and Shallowford Rd. I much appreciate your stories about the history of Cobb County, be it your Geneology or experiences of your youth. Driving around my area, I try to envision what it looked like 25,50, 100 years ago. Sadly, there are few resources like your blog that I can turn to. It's nice to know there is a sense of history tied to where I live.
Your work is much appreciated and I look forward to more posts when the inspiration returns.
Regards,
John Mercer
Thsnk you john. Your words are very kind and very ego pumping. I appreciate that.
ReplyDeleteDo you have any ties to Savannah?
Oh crap - just what I needed to hear and just when I'm rejuvenated
ReplyDelete...:)
Once, long ago, I was labeled a 'professional mouth runner' -
I would hate to lose my reputation!
Sometimes we just need a break from blogging. I've taken a long time off [out of necessity] and now I feel much better.
Deborah, I'm glad you feel better after your sabbatical. Maybe that is what I need, or redirect myself back into my genealogical pursit. Or just go within myself - submerge into the depts of my mind - or somehting like that.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad yuou are still kicking.
I took time off and never returned though I had the best of intentions. Hope that is not the case in your writings. I really, enjoy keeping in touch this way and hope we continue to do so for years to come.
ReplyDeleteNo connection to Savannah, Eddie. Family came from Indiana to FL in the 1930's, work brought me here in 98. Even though these aren't the best of times now, I truly enjoy living in Cobb.
ReplyDeleteJohn, I thought you might be named after an ancestor, as in Johnny Mercer, of Savannah.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, all these nice letters are in vain, although they did help my vanity. I will keep working the blog.
