With the coconut bra it reminded me of the movie SOUTH PACIFIC. This my wife's uncle Paul Foster and his Marine unit during war time (WWII war time) in the South Pacific. This is a spill over from the previous post.
Great picture! I wonder how many buddies Uncle Paul kept in touch with over the years, and if all of them made it back from the war. Look how YOUNG they were!
G, They were young. Paul (1922-1995) was probably between 21 and 23. He is on the first row, far right, by the way. I'm sure plenty of them of the men didn't make it back. I think I heard Paul say that his unit had a reunion every year or so. My late neighbor, a retiree, had about a dozen he kept up with. His widow-wife told me each year their military pen-pals get smaller. I originally pen-palled with 5 or 6, now it is down to one.
did paul f. work at the po? if so, he was a regular at the bpoe.real good friends with mothe and father r. also bought us beer on sundays whwn everyone else was un-open. geat guy uncle p. your friend p.
