I REMEMBER CALLING BOB, LARRY GARRETT AND ROGER GARRETT AND I CALLING VICTORY CABS TO THE PEOPLES ACROSS FROM THE GARRETT'S BECAUSE MRS. GARRETT DID LIKE THEM.
Did you also call the feed store and ask if they had 'shorts for hogs'?
I remember reading a novel when I was a teenager, in which a boy scratches out most of the letters on a Prince Albert can to leave a 'nasty' message and hands it to a girl.
I could never imagine, even as an adult, what he spelled out. Maybe it's best I can't.
ARE YOU RUNNING SHORT OF MATERIAL?

I can remember calling the tobacco store and asking if they had Prince Albert in a can. Then tell them to let him out and roar and laugh at our humor.
ReplyDeleteDitto calling the lady on the corner and ask her if the street light in front of her house is burning. Tell her to put it out and roar and laugh.
Those were the days.
THESE ARE THE DAYS.

Is your refrigerator running?
Nell,
ReplyDeleteI can't figure out what some of the letters in Prince Albert spells either. I thought I knew all the dirty words.
