This is mostly the Fs of the 1954 Marietta yellow pages with the beginning of the Gs.
It appears that there were a lot of florists in Marietta at the time, considering that Marietta wasn’t all that big.
It appears to be an almost a well-kept secret that in 1954 we lived in a racially segregated society. But again, Marietta Funeral Parlor stated in their ad that their business was for Colored.
The picture of the building of Field Furniture on Church Street does not show it, but the second floor of Field Furniture was a hotel. It must have been a small hotel. Probably the desk clerk, the bell boy, house detective, cook, and bottle washer all one person.
